Most rental owners can name their busiest items from memory. Very few can name their most profitable ones — and they are not always the same.
Utilisation tells you how often an asset is out. Revenue per asset tells you what it earned. Maintenance cost tells you what it took to keep earning. Against the original purchase price, those three numbers give you a payback period.
Run that across your inventory and two lists appear: the assets worth buying more of, and the ones quietly costing you money. Acting on either is usually worth more than any pricing change.
